In addition some of the services can be acquired from the Airport. Fuel/gas Stations are scattered all around the town and many can been seen on your there just by the road side.
Entebbe is also well known for the historical churches found in this town these include, Namate church of Uganda and Bugonga Church. Other churches Include, Entebbe Parish Church, St John’s Church and Calvary Chapel Entebbe (Kikafu rd), St Stephen’s Church (Nakiwogo rd)
Getting there and away
It is a very smooth and enjoyable ride. It is a 30 minutes drive south of Kampala located on the shores of Lake Victoria (world’s third largest water body), south west Uganda. Local Minibuses leave from both taxi parks (old and new taxi parks) plus Nakawa taxi park heading to Entebbe with regular departures at all times of the day and charge Ush4,000 till Entebbe town. These prices are relatively higher than the bus fares which charge close to Ush3,000 and these can be found at Nasser road next to Roko Construction.
On your way back, the most popular boarding point is Entebbe Taxi park located in Kitooro town but this time the fares are slightly lower (Ush3,000)and the taxis also fill so fast. One can also use the Special hire taxis (Airport Taxis) – Yellow in Colour which suit those with luggage. These charge around Ush60,000- Ush80,000 up to the city.
