Kisoro town offers wonderful panoramic landscapes & a great deal of diversity, from gorilla tracking in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to visits of the local Batwa (Pygmy) communities all these make Kisoro – a must visit. You will be amazed with the green rolling hills in every corner and the tall volcanic peaks of the Virunga ranges (including Mount Muhavura, Mt Sabinyo & Mt Gahinga) standing high in the skys of the Uganda, Rwanda & Congolese border.

The Travel
30 kilometres by air and 80+ kilometres by road, West of Kabale town.
Buses run from Kampala via towns like;Masaka, Mbarara, Ntungamo and Kabale up to Kisoro daily & operate until late in the night. These among other bus companies include; Gateway coaches, Horizon coaches, Muhabura coaches. Day travel recommended.
Accommodation:
Several budget and up market accommodation is available both within Kisoro town and at the Mgahinga National Park Ntebeko gate. These include; Mount Gahinga Rest Camp, Mgahinga Community Campground, Hotel Virunga, Travellers Rest Inn, Kisoro Tourist Hotel etc.
When to visit:
Kisoro can be accessed all year-round, but best recommended to visit during the seasons. Due to high Altitude, guests should carry along warm clothes when visit in rainy seasons.
